Company Announcement to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority No. 23-2012, 11 May 2012

FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD 65m (DKK 370m) from the long-term customer Vale for the supply of Material Handling equipment to the Port of Nacala in Mozambique.

The contract comprises delivery of fifteen complete conveyor systems, including all mechanical and structural components as well as transfer towers, chutes, magnets, belt scales, a lubrication system, skirts and supports.

Mozambique has large deposits of coal and the Material Handling equipment to be supplied by FLSmidth will provide the customer with enhanced handling and export facilities for their coal mine in Mozambique.

"The winning of this order reflects the good working relationship that exists between Vale and FLSmidth. We have previously delivered Materials Handling equipment for Vale's Moatize coal mine in Mozambique and the positive results have paved the way for our continued collaboration", Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until end of 2014.
