Slurry pressure pipe sampler

Simple, yet effective, slurry extraction pressure pipe samplers

Experience the reliability and cost-effectiveness of Essa® slurry pressure pipe sample extraction. Our innovative fixed-cutter solutions are designed to work seamlessly with pumped slurry streams. Choose from our horizontal and vertical pressure pipe extraction, as well as the shark fin sampler (non-pressurised horizontal slurry lines), for unparalleled sampling reliability.

Key benefits of our slurry pressure pipe samplers

  • Built to last

Our samplers are crafted for enduring performance. With a design that can withstand even the most challenging conditions, they consistently deliver reliable extraction of material for online analysis. A rubber lining protects the sampler, while a stainless-steel probe ensures a long lifespan.

  • Optimise sampling costs

With their streamlined design and easy-to-access inspection points, keeping your Essa slurry pressure pipe extractor in top condition is both simple and economical. Their innovative design also safeguards sample integrity, significantly minimising the need for costly and time-consuming resampling.

  • Safe and user friendly

Our slurry pipe extraction samplers comply with international pressure pipe standards, featuring a comprehensive range of safety features to ensure a secure working environment. These include safety access screens around control panels, easy access inspection panels, mechanical override switches, and inductive sensors that halt the machine's operation when safety is compromised.

Our slurry pressure pipe samplers

Essa® extractor Pressure Pipe Horizontal (PPH)

The Essa PPH slurry sample extractor, also known as the horizontal pressure pipe sampler, features a sample probe cutter mounted in a branch pipe of a horizontal pipe, collecting samples from the slurry flow for online trend analysis. This allows for continuous monitoring of changes in the process stream’s properties. The information retrieved should only be used for trending purposes.

  • Rubber-lined with stainless-steel sample probe for durability
  • Water flushing minimises cross-contamination
  • Customisable pneumatic control valve assembly

Essa® extractor Pressure Pipe Vertical (PPV)

The Essa® PPV slurry sample extractor, also known as a vertical pressure pipe sampler, features a sample probe cutter positioned in the main body of the vertical pipe sampler, taking the sample from the slurry product flowing through a rising vertical stream. The information retrieved should only be used for trending purposes.

  • Rubber-lined with stainless-steel sample probe for durability
  • Water flushing minimises cross-contamination
  • Customisable pneumatic control valve assembly

Essa® extractor Shark Fin (SF)

The Shark Fin sampler is a static cutter named for the finned cutter shape. It extracts a portion of material directly from the slurry stream and is useful when a representative falling stream sample is unavailable. The information retrieved should only be used for trending purposes. It is generally installed in a non-pressurised section or close to an ambient pressure section within a horizontal pipe.

  • Rubber lined and made from high-quality 350-grade steel
  • Several sizes available for suit various pipe diameters
  • Compatible with a baffle plate in front of the cutter to improve flow mixing

Frequently asked questions

FAQs for slurry pressure pipe samplers

A pressure pipe slurry sampler is used to collect extracted specimens from pressurised slurry pipelines.

A sample probe or cutter sits in the slurry flow, capturing a portion of the slurry stream, which is then usually directed to an online analyser for immediate trend information or to a collection container for later laboratory analysis.
