Key benefits of jaw crushers

  • 10%higher throughput

Our Jaw Crusher EB series has an optimised nip angle and increased stroke, giving both higher performance and an increased throughput compared to the benchmark. The EB range is designed for capacities up to 1600 tph and is optimised to reduce energy consumption by 25% compared to competitors. For higher throughputs, choose the Jaw Gyratory Crusher Pro, which can handle capacities above 4000 tph.

  • 10%longer serving life of bearing and wear parts

The EB series is designed for longer service life, thanks to the reinforced front and back wall, heavy-duty swing jaws, and optimised geometry of the crushing chamber. Essential main components of the EB Pro, such as housing parts and swing jaw, have been designed using new methods drawing on bionics. The patented solution of the swing jaw and front wall improves the absorption of load peaks during the crushing process and increases their service life.

  • Up to 20%reduction in service times achieved by safer maintenance

In the EB Pro, all wear elements are optimised for fast and reliable maintenance, reducing service times by up to 20%. The freely expandable crushing jaws reduce stress transfers to other components. The eccentric shaft bearing arrangement is robust and easy to maintain. All bearings are easily installable and removed using sleeves. The Jaw Gyratory Crusher Pro, meanwhile, benefits from easy access to all heavy components from above, so no one has to be underneath the crusher to carry out maintenance work.

Jaw Crusher EB

The Jaw Crusher EB series delivers the ultimate in primary crushing efficiency, and therefore lower operating costs. It achieves this through a combination of optimum speed and generously dimensioned flywheels, which allows the crusher to achieve consistently high throughputs, reducing power peaks and energy costs. At the same time, load-carrying components such as bearings and wear elements are less stressed, which increases the service life and durability of the parts by more than 10%.

One of the key strengths of the Jaw Crusher EB series is its unmatched robustness and longevity. More efficient utilisation of the crushing chamber results in lower and more uniform wear of the crushing tools. Furthermore, the crusher frame and swing jaw are made of high-grade steel or special cast steel that has been subjected to a stress- relieving heat treatment in order to prevent residual stresses from the welding or casting process.

The EB series is utilised in medium-hard and hard rock applications in mining, quarries, recycling and other industries for primary and secondary crushing.

Frequently asked questions

FAQs for jaw crushers

Jaw crushers work by compressing hard rock between a moving jaw (swing jaw) and a fixed (stationary) jaw – both of which are made from heavy-duty materials. The compression breaks the rocks into smaller pieces.

Jaw crushers are generally used in primary crushing applications in mining, quarrying and recycling, preparing materials for further (secondary and tertiary) crushing. They handle a variety of materials, including hard rocks, ores, gravel, and recycled concrete.

A jaw crusher system can be fixed in place or mobile. It receives feed material in the top of the crusher and reduces it using compressive force. Rocks pass between a fixed jaw and a swing jaw and are fractured into smaller pieces before being discharged onto a conveyor.
