Key benefits of mill liners

  • Optimised design enables higher throughput, increased profits

Our optimised, highly durable, lower weight mill liners allow for increased grinding capacity so you can process more tonnes of material.

  • Highly durable mill liners extend time between maintenance outages

With ARMOUR Mill Liners you will spend less time inspecting your mill and more time putting it to use. Our mill liners enable your machinery to run for longer. Less down time means higher profitability. What’s more, if you choose composite mill liners you will benefit from an average 50% fewer parts, leading to faster reline speed and reduced installation time.

  • Quick install reduces risk to workers

Our mill liners are safe and have fewer parts and are therefore quicker to install, significantly reducing downtime. That means workers installing the liners or lifters spend less time in a potentially hazardous situation. Plus, our composite mill liners are on average 50% lighter, offering further benefits to workers’ safety.

Mill liner selection

Each grinding mill is unique, so why treat the mill linings differently? We work with you to engineer a mill lining that meets your operational requirements and goals. Choose from three material options:

  • Rubber - Ideal for combating wear and tear against abrasion. Rubber mill linings are a less costly and readily available solution. Mostly found in ball mills less than 8 metres in diameter.
  • Metallic – Providing high-quality protection against impact wear in both SAG and Ball Mills. Our metal mill linings are customised for each customer's specific application.
  • Composite – High-performance, lightweight mill liners uniquely constructed with rubber and carefully selected high-hardness steel inserts.

Recycle ARMOUR mill wear parts

As well as reducing waste by extending wear life, we’ve also added a recycling service for ARMOUR mill liners to further reduce their environmental impact. Both composite and metallic mill liners are included in our recycling service, which is currently available in Chile and Peru and extending to the US from 2025. Old liners will be collected when new liners are delivered, making it a seamless process for customers. Most importantly, we’ll be able to reuse materials in the manufacture of new liners, creating a closed loop process.
