When you want increased throughput in your crushing operation, you don’t have to invest in new machinery. You can upgrade crushing performance with personalised support from the OEM. Our materials, process and engineering experts will help you identify performance gaps and implement solutions to boost productivity.
Improvements to your process should always begin with an audit and study. We need to identify what the process potential is (or should be), actual performance, and the gap between the two. Visual inspections work off a checklist, specific to each application. We then audit those results, comparing how the machine is working to its original specifications and performance guarantees. The result is a study which outlines the precise performance gap and the solutions we’ve identified to bridge that gap.
Crusher upgrades are typically focused on increasing throughput, but could also extend availability and increase wear life – for example, upgrading the standard spider cap to a rock box cap and adding further protection with extended side plates, which together increase wear life by up to 300%. FLS crusher upgrades can be carried out on FLS gyratory, jaw, and cone crushers, in standard or customised packages.
Where worn components need replacing, our rebuild services offer an affordable and sustainable option. Depending on the part in question, rebuilds can be undertaken on site or at one of our regional service centres. In all cases, by choosing to partner with FLS, you ensure the rebuild meets OEM quality standards, giving you increased service life and reduced downtime. Rebuilds are performed on a like-to-like basis bringing machines back to OEM specifications and extending operating life and improving reliability.
For parts that require regular replacement, you could join our exchange programme. We replace your parts with like-new components, giving you all the benefits of the rebuild programme but with an even lower lead time. We’ll take your old component away for refurbishment while you continue production with the ‘new’ part.
Automatically compensates for misalignment, reducing internal stress and premature wear. The result - improved reliability, longer component life, and reduced maintenance interventions.
Increases feed and throughput capacity while enhancing lubrication and cooling efficiency. This upgrade improves crushing consistency and reduces the risk of overheating under high-load conditions.
The FLS Self-Aligning Mainshaft Upgrade Kit is a retrofit upgrade for primary gyratory crushers that makes a mainshaft change-out safer, faster and more predictable, and keeps the primary available between shutdowns.

Upgrading crusher components can increase the capacity and feed size of your crusher, so you can achieve greater productivity. These projects are highly bespoke, enabling us to get to the heart of your specific challenges to determine how we can adapt, upgrade or adjust your operation to increase throughput.
The energy consumption of your crushing operation can be affected by bottlenecks and disruption to your process. Upgrading your crusher, whether by increasing jaw size or adding digital capabilities, can help you streamline operations to reduce excessive energy consumption.
Our rebuild services enable you to get the most out of your equipment, saving you money and reducing the environmental impact of your process. Rebuilding is carried out by OEM-approved workshops or at one of our regional service centres, or on site, guaranteeing top quality parts with a low turnaround time.
