Our dry bulk rotary samplers are designed to minimise maintenance while delivering reliable, accurate results from falling streams of ore. Hard wearing and self-contained, with easily replaceable cutters, they are built to operate to global sampling guidelines.
We have been supplying dry bulk sampling systems to the mining industry for decades. When you choose FLS to supply your sampling system, you don’t just get a sampler; you get access to those decades of sampling experience. This allows us to offer unparalleled support, from initial sampler design, selection, and installation to maintenance, spare parts, troubleshooting, and optimisation—all backed by our time-tested sampling knowledge and real-world expertise.
To make confident process optimisation and quality control decisions, you need precise, dependable ore samples. Our dry bulk rotary samplers are designed to provide just that: highly accurate, proportional samples that empower optimum performance in mining and mineral processing operations.
Offering low-maintenance sampling solutions for your operations, our dry bulk rotary samplers are made with high-grade steel to ensure a long wear life and come with easily replaceable cutters. Large side access doors allow for simple maintenance and quick replacement of cutter blades in the field.
Inspecting and accessing the cutters and liners is safe and straightforward. Hatches on the top and side are equipped with safety mesh, ensuring operators can observe the operating unit in safety, without direct exposure to moving parts. Additionally, the drive is designed to bring the cutter to rest outside the falling stream for easier inspection.

Safety mesh allows safe observation without exposure to moving parts, and the drive brings the cutter to rest outside the material stream for easier inspection.
High-grade steel construction provides long wear life, with easily replaceable cutters to extend component use and reduce waste.
Essa® Vezin rotary samplers for primary, secondary, and tertiary sampling applications feature a square design for easy installation and to allow flat wear liners. The enclosed unit has a rotating cutter that moves at a constant speed through the falling sample stream. Designed for minimal maintenance, they offer options like internal rubber lining and automatic washdown.
The Essa® DAS is a fully enclosed unit with a traversing radial sample cutter that moves uniformly through a falling stream of dry granular material. Featuring flanged connections, it is designed to be installed in vertical pipes.
Our Essa® RTS splits the sample between various material percentage discharge chutes at the base of the machine body ensuring that multiple outputs of required sample amount are delivered. The unit comprises a head platform housing a braked gear motor with a belt drive to rotate a material chute (tube).
