Compared to a traditional ball mill, the OK 33-4 vertical cement mill installation will considerably reduce CO2 emissions: "Our market leading vertical mill technology is playing a vital role in helping our customers to significantly reduce their carbon footprint," Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments. The new cement mill is specially designed to produce both high Blaine cement and ground slag and will be the first slag grinding mill FLSmidth installs in Europe. The FLSmidth equipment plays a key role in Tudela Virguíns' 45m EUR project aimed at increasing and modernising the cement grinding capacity of the Aboño plant.  Tudela Veguín was founded in 1898, and FLSmidth supplied the first kiln system to the company in 1929. In 1949, Tudela Veguín decided to build a new and modern plant in Aboño and FLSmidth was chosen as supplier. In 1956 and 1962, additional lines were contracted with FLSmidth. All lines are still in operation today.                                             ------------------------------------- Please address any questions regarding this press release to Group Chief Executive Officer Jørgen Huno Rasmussen, FLSmidth & Co.
