Requiring a fraction of the retention time when compared to traditional flotation, this compact, highly efficient system reduces the required flotation volume by 7-10 fold. This in turn reduces plant footprint as well as water, air and energy requirements.
Efficient separation is achieved over a wide range of particle sizes facilitating the ability to fine tune preceding grinding and classification systems to ensure optimal pumping and cycloning energy input. The RFC reduces CAPEX by 35% and with no direct power input to the RFC, this results in 60% less energy use in a flotation circuit.
The RFC has consistently demonstrated the ability to produce higher grade product at higher levels of recovery in fewer treatment steps. This capability allows for the elimination or greatly reducing the need for further cleaning of flotation concentrate. The result? An ultra-compact final flotation circuit that ensures zero water and energy waste, in line with our MissionZero ambitions.
